Dodge Journey 3 Recalls to Ring in the New Year!

Hopefully the current recalls affecting Dodge Tuscaloosa and other Dodge dealerships right now won’t continue to haunt the rest of this year.  The American auto maker has issued three separate recalls for their Dodge Journey and Dodge Ram vehicles.  While some apply to the brand new model, others are for the older Dodge Ram trucks you can find at Sarasota Used Car Dealer.  Issuing a recall is hardly the end of the world anymore, and the fact that consumers still trust the Toyota brand name after all of their headline grabbing recalls is a perfect example of that.  Even if you used a CT Bad Credit Car Loans for your automobile purchase, you will want to see if the recall applies to your vehicle.

The 2009 Dodge Journey is being recalled but only the models that were manufactured between November 2007 and September 2008.  The wiring used in this batch of vehicles is prone to breaking and having an effect on the side-impact sensors.  Drivers will notice their airbag light blinking, which is just a mere annoyance.  However, if the sensors fail, then the vehicle will not be able to know if there has been a side-impact collision and the airbags will not deploy.  It is estimated that 65,180 vehicles are affected by this recall.

Next on the recall list is the Dodge Ram.  There are 56,611 of the 2011 Dodge Ram trucks that were produced in the last quarter of 2010 that have a problem with their rear-axle.  Owners will be notified in February and dealerships will fix the problem for free.  If the rear-axle seizes, then there is an increased risk of an accident.

Dodge Ram 4500 300x150 3 Recalls to Ring in the New Year! The third and final recall affects the 2008-2011 Dodge Ram 4500 and 5500 trucks.  Because this truck is not sold as frequently as the smaller one, only 22,274 vehicles are involved in the recall.  There is a problem with the left ball stud on the tie rod and the structure has the potential to weaken and then break.  If that portion does break, drivers are likely going to lose control of their vehicles and have an accident.
